“My daughter loved the Ignite camp, lots of variety a range of activities. She enjoyed trying some new dance styles and hanging out with a lovely group of kids. As a parent you just want them to be happy and active, which what this camp provides. The last day performance wrap up was brilliant.”

School holidays? Don’t blow a fuse. Ignite Performing Arts Camp is coming to the rescue!
The mission of Ignite Performing Arts Camps is to help every child foster a deep passion and love for performance arts by creating a safe and supportive space where they can explore the art of self-expression through movement. While enjoyment is the name of the game, hard work is an important pre-requisite, which helps to explain the Ignite motto: Commit. Engage. Practice. Progress. Success! With an amazing community of teachers, parents and students, this studio is one of the friendliest and most family-orientated on the Sunshine Coast.
What age is the camp created for?
We welcome all children from ages 5 – 12 years inclusive.
How are the camp days structured?
A typical day begins with a fun warm-up & stretch, students are then split up into their teams to participate in a rotation of dance, acrobatics, drama, pilates/yoga session, sports & games or arts and crafts. With the Camp Manager, Camp Leaders & Camp Assistants students will take a variety of classes in the dance studio deleted text here and at our arts and crafts stations (on site – upstairs and/or in the foyer). Activities are broken up with eating breaks and the students will be given water breaks. The afternoon session will include more arts and crafts, dance sessions and fun! We have fully air conditioned facilities for those hot January days PLUS (weather permitting) we might take a nice stroll down to the park for some sports games and picnic fun! Deleted final sentence.
What date & time is the camp on?
The camp will run in the Summer school holidays from Monday 21st – Thursday 24th January 2019.
Each day runs from 9am – 3pm. FREE bonus before & after school care from 8am – 9am & 3pm – 5pm for all students.
What does my child need to wear?
We recommend wearing comfortable clothing (or a change of clothes) that is suitable for dance & acrobatics class. It is also recommended to bring a shirt that could get paint, glue etc on for art sessions. Hats are to be brought each day if students wish to spend their lunch breaks outside. Ideally, students would wear comfortable clothes to the camp and possibly bring a change of dance attire. Dance shoes (jazz) are recommended but not required as students can dance barefoot. We’re also allowing our students to come dressed up in dance costumes if they like! If your child hasn’t got anything to wear then we can find something in our box of spare concert costumes!
What does my child need to bring?
Morning tea, lunch & afternoon tea. A water bottle and dance wear or appropriate attire. A hat, any medications such as Ventolin, EpiPens etc. All camp attendees will receive a ‘packing list’ before attending. A dress up costume for fun!
When will the YouTube video be available?
The video will be available to view in the week after the camp. All camp attendees will be sent the link via email.
Am I able to purchase a ticket for 1, 2, 3 or 4 days only?
Absolutely! We open up tickets for 1 – 4 day campers.
Where is the camp held?
The entire 3 day event is held at our HQ venue. 122 Bulcock Street, Caloundra, 4551. Please note that entry access is via Maloja Ave
